I have earned my Ph. D. in Computer Science from the University of Southampton, UK in 1996. I have more than 30 years of post-graduate teaching, research and educational management experience and published more than 30+ research articles in international, national research journals and conference proceedings and two books. My key professional competencies are following:

Presently, I am working as Professor and Chairman, Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Sargodha. I have good command on English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Saraiki languages. I have delivered various teacher training workshops, taught post-graduate and under-graduate courses and supervised many post-graduate students' projects. Knowledge Management, Technology enhanced learning, Multimedia application development, and Artificial Intelligence are the key areas of my interest.

My personal philosophy is to serve the institution I work for through hard work underpinned by adherence to ethical principles and values, personal integrity and respect for the rights and integrity of all colleagues, staff, and students regardless of position or status. I am open to innovative ideas and enjoy innovative projects that challenge the status quo and bring about fundamental change. I am a team player and keen to learn from others. I am compassionate and sympathetic to reasonable requests, and I am decisive and honest and able to take difficult decisions and stick by them when necessary.   • Hired a sufficient number of competent faculty members.
  • Under my principal ship, the College had a network of 900+ computers and its own ISP.   Each classroom was equipped with a multimedia projector, air-condition, LAN & Internet connectivity. Approximately 3000 students were enrolled in different programs and the College was making a saving of almost 40 million from a total income of 85 million per year.
  • Position as Advisor to the Vice Chancellor on Information Technology,  University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan.

At this position I was responsible for:

  • Preparing strategies to improve the quality of  academic activities at Punjab University College of Information Technology
  • Preparing policy guidelines to improve ICT infrastructure of the University
